this looks a bit daft to me

Am I the only one wondering how a crisis, caused largely by people and institutions borrowing beyond their means, is going to be solved by us, as a nation, borrowing a whole load more money.

We've already had one credit crunch.  What happens when an even bigger one hits the national accounts.  Isn't it time to face up to the fact that consumerist capitalism is, literally, bankrupt.

Some writing what I did

During the spring I did some writing for a couple of projects associated with college.  They are both now publicly available in two very different formats.

Along with 7 or 8 other students I produced a load of material for a whole week's worth of WordLive, Scripture Union's online bible study and devotional website.  The material starts tomorrow and runs all the way through until next Sunday.

If you like what you read there, then you might also be interested in another collection of material that the community at St John's put together.   "Walking to a different drum beat" contains Bible readings and reflections to help us spend Advent preparing intentionally for Christmas.

No prizes for spotting my contributions to either this year, but please do have a look and see what you think.
